The majority of support is given by qualified staff within the classroom environment across the curriculum.  The Teaching Assistants work closely with staff and students to assess students’ individual needs in order to provide appropriate support.  Students are encouraged to build their confidence to help them become independent learners.

EAL students, under the guidance of Mrs Pasquino, are given every opportunity to integrate fully into College life.

Monitoring of students on the SEN audit takes place throughout the year, using academic reviews and reading tests to check on students’ progress. We work closely with external agencies which play an important role in helping the College to identify, assess and make provision for students with SEN.statementsen3

There is a strong link with our feeder primary schools which enables us to identify pupils’ needs before they join us. We are involved each summer term with the transition project to aid the smooth passage from Primary to Secondary Education.
